Charles never wanted this. The domination of humans. However, governments had turned a deaf ear to his pleas for a peaceful solution. Why, he would never understand. Surely his way would have been preferable to Magneto's.

To ...Erik's.

He'd never met him in person until six months earlier, where a war torn world had seen the two opposing sides finally meeting. Charles had expected to talk of peace, rebuilding society.

He had not expected Erik to court him, to bring world to its knees and lay it at Charles' feet.

It should probably bother him more than it really does.
