2a: a display of fireworks
b: a spectacular display (as of extreme virtuosity)

Fandom: XMFC AU
Pairing: Erik Lehnsherr/Charles Xavier
Rating: G

Erik studied the night sky, fireworks lighting it in colors and illuminating it to a point where you could almost believe it was day out.

He turned his head slightly as Charles joined him, accepting the glass of champagne that he was offered.

"Fitting that on the day of Independence, we also toast to the law that brings mutants one step closer to equality," Charles said quietly.

Erik inclined his head and slid his arm around Charles' waist. Years ago he had barely dared believe in Charles idealistic dream, but here they were, one step closer to a better future.

Pairing: Erik Lehnsherr/Charles Xavier
Rating: G

Charles hates these functions. Galas, whatever. However, the school needs funds and if it means dressing to the nines for the night and acting the placid professor, so be it.

Midways through the night, he's damned glad he's attending afterall. Because he's being introduced to a gorgeous, tall man who not only has the most intriguing mind Charles has experienced in years, but who also takes his hand, pressing his lips to Charles' skin, completely disregarding the looks they're getting.

'You and I have much to discuss.' is projected at him.

Charles raises his eyebrow and smiles. Curioser and curioser.

Word of the day: Aplomb

Aplomb n. Self-confident assurance, skill, and poise – especially in difficult or challenging circumstances.

Fandom: XMFC AU
Pairing: Erik Lehnsherr/Charles Xavier
Rating: G

Charles will never grow tired of watching Erik debate with politicians and talk-show hosts. He's no slacker in that department himself, but there's something about Erik's cutting sarcasm that makes his opponents look like complete and utter twats.

Since the early days of their friendship, they have discussed and argued their viewpoints over chess, dinners, later over breakfast after heated nights with less debate, but no less passion. So Charles is familiar with Erik being a force of nature; impossible to stop and awe-inspiring in all his terrible glory.

There are few things hotter than that, if you ask Charles.

Fandom: XMFC AU (in which a war is being fought between humans and mutants even before Charles and Erik meet)
Pairing: Erik Lehnsherr/Charles Xavier

Charles never wanted this. The domination of humans. However, governments had turned a deaf ear to his pleas for a peaceful solution. Why, he would never understand. Surely his way would have been preferable to Magneto's.

To ...Erik's.

He'd never met him in person until six months earlier, where a war torn world had seen the two opposing sides finally meeting. Charles had expected to talk of peace, rebuilding society.

He had not expected Erik to court him, to bring world to its knees and lay it at Charles' feet.

It should probably bother him more than it really does.

The sound escaping Charles as he stretched his arms above his head and Erik licked along the ridge of his hip bone was intoxicating.

They were both gross, in need of a bath, something Erik was still considering, maybe using his powers to start them a bath. Of course, they weren't quite done yet.

Fresh sweat, dried sweat, half drying semen, it all blended together as Erik touched the tip of his tongue to Charles' skin. It tasted like a good, honest workout, hours of sex, which wasn't too far from the truth. Most importantly though, it promised hours more.

1 : earth —usually used with the
2 : a celestial body held to influence the fate of human beings
3 : a person or thing of great importance : luminary
(Mirriam-Webster June 28th)

Erik wanted to dislike Professor Xavier. Mostly, he figured, because everyone else loved the man, gravitated towards him.

So did Erik, really. Gravitated, that was. He'd bow to the fact that his contact had been right. Professor Xavier knew what he was talking about when it came to mutations.

So, Erik had decided that he could work with that, work with the professor. He hadn't expected to spend personal time in private with Charles, playing chess, having friendly, if occasionally heated debates.

Professor Xavier drew everyone's attention, Charles drew Erik's - and he found he was quite alright with that.

sap •\ˈsap\• noun and verb
Fandom: XMFC
Pairing: Erik Lehnsherr/Charles Xavier
Rating: PG
Word: Sap (from NY Times)
Erik leaned against the open door, carefully not sighing out loud.

Unfortunately, his SO was a telepath and well attuned to Erik's moods. Charles turned from where he was speaking with the first batch of graduates from their school, shooting Erik a fond, knowing smile.

Grinning sharply, Erik didn't bother concealing the pride he felt for Charles achieving what he'd wanted for so long. What he'd worked so hard for.

"What we have worked so hard for."

Erik rolled his eyes, feigning indifference, accompanied by Charles laughter in his mind and his own projected accusations of Charles being a sap.

Tuesday - Day 2 of vacation - word of the day: Glutch
\ gluhch \ , verb;
to swallow.
a mouthful.

Fandom: XMFC
Pairing: Erik Lehnsherr/Charles Xavier
Rating: R
Word of the day: Glutch (dictionary.com)

Erik bit his lower lip, taking a deep breath to steady his self control. Looking down he realized that might not have been his best move.

He should tear his eyes away, check the clock on his desk, calculate when his next client would arrive. Maybe focus on the resonance from the metal in the room to divert his attention. Instead he stared, transfixed by his boyfriend kneeling between his knees, busy sucking Erik's brain out through his dick.

Closing his eyes, Erik simply gave in, letting Charles' joy of what he was doing flood his mind.

Work could wait.

Not sure if I'll manage one tormorrow - as I'm fleeing the country erm, I mean, travelling to Scotland *grins*

Let's see if I can get a bit done every day - Tonight I made use of the Merriam-Webster website for word of the day and written a drabble inspired by it.

Fandom: XMFC
Pairing: Erik Lehnsherr/Charles Xavier
Rating: PG/PG13
Media: Drabble
Word of the day: Frolic

Charles landed on his back in the high grass, wheezing as his breath was knocked from his lungs, finding it utterly impossible to stop laughing.

Of course Charles' breathlessness didn't improve a moment later, as Erik let himself drop on top of him, covering Charles' body with his own, pinning him to the ground, the scent of crushed grass filling Charles' nostrils.

Fighting Erik was more for play than anything else. Charles lacked the breath, not to mention the intention, of throwing him off. Especially when Erik slipped his leg between Charles', pushing hard against the bulge in Charles' trousers.

As we're having wine and cider tonight - Nicci and I decided we were going to do prompt for drabbles.

All drabbles are in the comments here on this entry

Her's is here

Of pointy eared pets and stubborn captains | ST-XI | Kirk/Spock | G

Third month out, Jim got it into his head that he wanted Spock to try bananas.

Simply because he thought it horrible that Spock had never tasted bananas.

Leonard rolled his eyes. The week before it had been passion fruit, the week before that, liquorice. As little as he liked the hob goblin, he almost felt sorry for the attention he was receiving from Jim. Like he was Jim's pet. And wouldn't it be fun to throw that in Spock's face the next time he was being an ass?

Jim's pet Vulcan. Leonard grinned once again impressed with Spock's patience.

2nd day of the new year, two drabbles down, not a bad streak *g*

Distractions | ST-XI | Kirk/Spock | One little glimpse is all it takes | G | prompt: undergarments

Thanks to [personal profile] nicci_mac for the prompt

It is the height of illogical behavior, yet Spock is at loss to explain exactly why his captain's undergarments have become such a distraction to him - one even meditation has proven inefficient to cope with.

He has only caught a titillating glimpse of them once, in the changing room of the gym. Simple as they were, black, tightly fitting. For such a brief moment, they have since filled the dreams he should not be having.

Spock's far from immune to physical attraction when it comes to Jim Kirk, and he is unsure if he would even want to be.

I'm trying to do this as often as possible, just to keep the muses exercised

Hey, I know I've been absent lately, but I've barely been home this week, except to sleep. Friends to visit and choir to practice etc.

Well, [livejournal.com profile] nora_charles and I were doing a writing exercise today and the outcome were a couple of drabbles. We chose fandoms and prompts and off it went. She posted the one of her contributions she deemed worthy to [livejournal.com profile] dief_fans(right here) because it's a Diefenbaker drabble *pours love on the half-wolf* -- me? I'm not quite that nice to you guys, you get all three drabbles I did *g*

It's so damned hot today -- and working 7.5 hours didn't exactly help. So all day I was thinking how I'd like some heat-fic -- my own brain was too fried to do anything about it, but, seeing as I tend to offer drabbles, how about we turn the tables, huh?

So, in the comments to this entry, write me a drabble. Any fandom, any pairing (don't make me regret it, 'kay?) and all I'm asking for is that you use HEAT as prompt. How you use it is up to you.

. If my brain's up to it, I might actually write a sequel to your drabble -- in drabble form as well *g*, as a thank you.

ETA: If a 100 words isn't enough for ya, go crazy and just write *g*
