right, and I left that sentence halfwritten just to mess with you *sniggers* - what it was meant to say - and would have said if I'd been awake (and this was more than a stray stream of consciousness) is that I prefer my male characters, male and the female female, but above all else, in character. Apart from that, because of the way most TV shows are written, yeah, I prefer the male characters, end of story and there's not running from the fact that some fanfic writers write the characters as if they were simpering heroines of a Mills and Boone.
