I've always felt the ending of Abyss needed a little... extra

Another drabble community you may say? We need another one? Well, duh! It's a Stargate one, so yeah!

and since I'm on a roll and high on caffeine, here's my contribution to stargate100



As Sam left, Jack closed his eyes. "You still here?"

"For a little while longer," the voice held... a certain amount of humour and devotion.

"'s good," Jack mumbled as the drugs began to work.

"Sleep, Jack, you need it."

Jack didn't answer at first. Then, "You'll be gone when I wake up." Not a question, just a simple statement.

"I won't really be far away, you know that."

"I know..." Jack answered sleepily. "You know I..."

"I know..."

A soft whisper of lips over Jack's forehead made him smile. "I know, Daniel" he whispered as sleep finally claimed him.
