I guess some people just don't like stargate...

Pfffft -- who cares? we love the show *g* -- and as for the less-than-subtle hint at Star Wars in especially Full Circle... well, I chose to see that as a tribute to popculture, sniggering like and idiot when I watched it.

I mean, it's not the first time they've given the genre a loving pat on the butt -- just watch 'Wormhole eXtreme'...

Well, that critic can take his review and stick it you know where as far as I'm concerned. I was a huge Farscape fan. Stargate and Farscape are two very different shows with very different missions. Trying to compare them is like trying to compare apples and oranges. Stupid critic.

I sat in a room full of enthusiastic, well educated, Successful, Sci-Fi geeks from HELL tonight.

Some of them had unusaully coloured hair.
Some of them were wearing a shirt and tie.
Nearly all of us kicked off our shoes when we walked
through the door.

And as we yanked the caps off our beers, chattered like MSTK 3000, munched on muchies and were drawn into the Three hour Fest that was tonight's SG-1 Premiere...

We raised our drinks, And laughed LOUD as each homage to STAR TREK, BATTLESTAR GALLACTICA, and of course STAR WARS...rose its cheerful head.

Mark: Oh HE soo Lando-ed Them!!!

WE got it.
WE loved it.

It was fun...an obvious tip of the hat to every franchise that has taken us to this point in Sci-Fi culture.

Huh. Denmark here, we're lucky if they ever upgrade from season 1 to season 2, though I have my doubts THAT will ever happen. That's what DVDs and IRC downloads are for *g*
