Been doing icons...
I had fun last night, apart from hunting for caps to use for iconage...
I was shallow enough to share some... feedback, I guess you could call it, with
swtalmnd,
carlachameleon and
fizzabith... they were all highly amused. Say, how can you ask if you can borrow a plot from a plotless fic???
Um,
nicci_mac, yeah, it was THOSE mails I shared with them... *g* -- like I said, I was feeling shallow.
So... me being slightly hooked on kilts this week... voila, my new icon...
Makes you wonder what my obsession will be next week... ::whistles innocently::
On another note... man, I have enough to play a half our concert by now... ::sorry:: I've gotten back to the insanely long fic I'm working on. Well, it's not that long *yet* and I fear it might be the fact that I KNOW how long it'll be, plot-wise, that I choked on it the other night and wrote the kilt-fic instead. Now I'm much calmer... *g*
The fic will be the final installment and even though the first two parts had nothing that could link them to any specific timeline in the series, it somehow sneaked into the third part, and it felt right to 'borrow' some of the story ideas from season 6. I had to really consider whether or not I wanted to sit down and re-watch some of the eps to get them 'right' or if I wanted to just go with whatever I could remember. Well, I decided on the latter. I don't know if it'll work, but I trust my beta enough to hit me over the head if it doesn't... Brynn's good at that and I adore her for it. She isn't afraid to point out things that could be written better. ^_^ -- and as she is relatively new to the fandom, she won't let me get away with assumptions... So just because you and I know something's a fact, it doesn't mean everyone else does. So she makes me slow down every once in a while to consider if what I've written needs a little 'extra'

Kilt fic
Glad it helped get you back on track re the monserfic. My ear is always open (does that sound weird to you?). Oh BTW - I cant make out the writing on the new icon cos its running too quick. What does it say - I think I caught the word 'kilt'?
Re: Kilt fic
Heh, yeah, it never ceases to amaze me that when I write something that is more or less a PWP, I always get more fb for those *g*
