I tried to caught you at GJ --I can't say I'm there often-- to ask you how you did to have a 'transparent' setting on your layout. Well, it seems like transparent, anyway, since we can see the pic. I'm not used to doing a new layout with S2 so I'm fooling around right now. Everything is ready for mine --although I'm now thinking of getting a new pic-- but everything is black, and I have to scroll to see the pic, so it would be nice to have the transparent thingie.
Oh, the transparrent setting on LJ? Um, well, S1 I did back then I used HTML codes from basic, meaning I coded it all the way, hence being able to NOT put in background colors in the tables *g*
Using S2,
go to the customization page after having set the initial settings
find the tab called 'Colors'
there whenever there's a block for background color, be it entry, page background, component background etc. you use the 'overwrite' feature, which you leave blank, that way there will be no code for color
Be careful. If you go back and change something else, there's a glitch that forces you to re-do the steps above (using the overwrite feature)
Yeah, HTML codes with S1 was just so cool *sigh* I definitely have a thing for HTML coding lol
So, first, thanks for the quick reply. I went back to the customization page, and tried to do it, and yeah, it's weird cos I can only have 'one' table transparent as opposed to *everything*. I left each block for a background blank, but it apparently refuses to work. It just goes totally white as if instead of leaving the block blank, I'd chosen 'white', know what I mean?

I also think it depends on the layout chosen. I doubt I'll ever fully understand S2 from LJ...
The best thing would be if we could combine some of the cool things from S2 with good oldfashioned HTML coding...

And tell me about it! It would be perfect! That and 20 icons slots for instance (we don't want to kill the bandwith around here *g*).

Oh, and should you need anything, feel free to IM me. It's a bit faster than LJ *g* (that is, if you use any of the programs)
