everything seems to be fitting together today, right these few moments

just read this, and I'm still applauding

caught a bit of the news on the radio: It seems they're trying to open for gay couples to adopt. (I'm in Denmark, folks)

The radio station I'm currently listening to were giving away tickets to a party event. All you had to do was take part in a game of SP or K (I believe it's Truth, Percentage or consequence) -- best one wins. Guy in car calls, chooses Consequece and is asked to get out of the car, get into the nearest other car, sit in the passenger seat and ask the driver to say that the radio station is the coolest of them all. Which he, btw, does *g* -- Guy has already explained that he's gay, so when he's offered tickets he just wants to make sure that he could bring the fine specimen of a man he had next to him (in his OWN car). Guy was completely hyper. Quite cute, really *g*

Current work: I'll launch a stargate fanfic challenge this weekend, working on the piece that should serve as inspiration *g*

thats really great, it's legal here in Sweden :)
just to bad that the final choice is up to the adoption agency..but still good if it is legal (is an important first step) :)

Oh yeah. One of our politicians, a woman, made the mistake of saying that every child needs a mom AND a dad. THAT did not sit well with half the public or so. Hellooooooo, what about kids out of divorced families who only ever see ONE parent?

::shakes head::

At LEAST we're not having a marriage protection week ::rolls eyes::

that was -not- one of the smartest things she could have said *shakes head also*

yeah, like me..I turned out ok..*thinks* bad example *s*
but seriously, it works out just fine :)

yeah, Bush just gets dumber and dumber as the time goes on..I wonder what that man is thinking..probably pretty scary/crazy things
I can't understand that they voted for him *shakes head again*

I really hope they do legalize it! Of course the ideal should technically be to have both a mom and a dad, but as you said, there are many people who don't have that. I can't see why it should be worse to have two of the same kind instead of just one parent. Besides, I certainly think it would be better to maybe be made fun of in school for having gay parents than to die before you turn two.
Finally, I do believe that growing up in a family like that might even be good for you, since it might teach the child to be tolerant to people who are different than him/her.
I really can't find a single bad thing to say about allowing gay people to adopt.
