Help...

Does anyone know? Is squidge.org down?
(I'm probably way behind, but I haven't seen any notices on this...)

According to a friend, yes.

Oh good -- well, not good, but at least that means I'm not going crazy because I can't load any squidge archives

It's a bit weird: The Archives are down (at least 852 Prospect ), but the lists (senad) are still functioning.

Go figure ;-)

An easier question might be, "Is squidge.org up?" =D

::ducks::

Yay, I came to work and found your fic in my mailbox. Thank you so much! =D

Of course, I left it there when I went to lunch, so I hope nobody else found it. Ah well, the masses must be educated!

Didn't I remember writing for you to NOT read it at work?

A while ago (two, three months?) the owner of the server moved it from a commercial facility to his own house.
For ease of service.

Um... I'm not laughing, really I'm not.

OTH, it could be, that the servicing and the subsequent downtime is scheduled to the low-traffic hours, which just happen to be the times the folks in Europe want to get in. ::shrug::
( As I understand, it's somewhere on the west cost of US)

On the whole, squidge is up a lot more than it's down so I can't say that there's all that much reason to complain.

Oh, as such I'm not complaining *g* I just wanted a fix of senfic *g* but as always, using google.com's cache worked the magic and I managed to get what I wanted ^_^

Thankfully, there's a lot of sentinel sites outside of squidge.
I just posted some of them on my lj. *g*

I didn't think you were complaining, really, but the thread in the comments seemed to be developing in that direction.

Could be just me and my cynical nature. ;-)

Sorry? ::shrug::

nah, I was being whiny. I found a rec in [livejournal.com profile] tsflashback and wanted to read it *g* but it seemed the story was ONLY on the prospect archive... Of course the one story I go looking for wasn't to be found anywhere else *g*

The latest rec?
I wanted to re-read that too, but it doesn't seem to be anywhere else.

Well, all good things come to those who wait., and other similar sentiments. ;-)

well, you can put her Penelope Whisper and Night into google and instead of clicking the link, choose the cache option and you get the cached version ::is now in love with google:: *g*

Thanks, but I already found it on the Wayback Machine.

I don't know why, but I've never really gotten into the habit of using the google cache.
I'll have to remember it in the future. :-)
