I remember having read a senfic at some point, that was a slight AU. It took off around the pilot of the show, but where Jim doesn't contact Sandburg and ends up being admitted to a phychiatric home, courtesey of Carolyn. He escapes, finds Sandburg and they set about proving that the man isn't insane.

I just can't bloody remember what story this is, or who the writer is.

I know that story.
But I can't remember. Grr. Bad memory seems to be common these days. Must be the heat.
There a yahoo group called ts-storyfinders (of something similar), with lots of helpful people with good memories. You might want to try. :-)

YAY - I was about to tell you that I had read that one recently and that it was called Detour but that I couldnt remember the author. But YAY - Oceana found it.

Well, i've been checking up frequently for more of your art on your website and i check your livejournal as well. -Man, i sound like a stalker now. *_~ hehe.
Well, I just wanna say i love your art and your site. The first time I concidered even "looking" at the idea of Jack and Daniel together, i thought, "Naah. that can't be right, no one else out there thinks like me." Then, surfin' the net one night, i figure I'll just do a search engine just out of curiosity. BOOM! A plethera on Jack and Daniel friendly zones! And yours is my favorites. You actually update! Wow, this is more like feedback, but anyhow, i just wanted to tell you that.
Anyhow, with my mad search engine skills, i tried to find that story for you.
