Oy, if anyone was to find a boa constrictor, not knowing whom it belonged to, which authorities would said snake be turned over to? And we're talking in the US here.

Animal control. Whenever we'd find stray cats or dogs, we'd call them. They usually bring lost animals to shelters, in the case of a boa, in the end it'd probably be brought to a local zoo. It might also be someone's pet that got away, some people have them as pets, provided they're not the ten foot long African variety.

Is this a boa in Colorado by any chance? Hopefully it's not winter time, because it would probably freeze to death, or get like buried in the snow!
