Odense Gospel Festival
Oh yeah, this is the big day *g*
We started rehearsing Friday night and this afternoon at 4:30 we have the big concert. It's been a hectic 1 1/2 day, and I figure today will be even more so. So do we rock? Eh... yeah, occasionally LOL -- we're still stumbling along a few things, but I figure we'll get there today, if no later then at the concert itself *g*
Last night was fun too -- we ended the evening with a small gospel-cafe and our choir went up on stage to perform two of our new songs that we've only gone through a few times, but it was good -- sure, there were a few places where I noticed a slip of a note, but nothing that was audible unless you were REALLY good, really listening or knew the notes. We actually remebered all the lyrics LOL -- I think that was the biggest worry.
So, the rehearsing. It's fun *g* -- our instructors rock, absolutely *g*
Our instructors were supposed to be David Daniel (UK) and Ken Anderson (US) -- and David is there -- absolutely LOL -- but unfortunately Ken Anderson couldn't make it since some moron stole his passport when he was at the airport Wednesday -- let's see, that was the evening of his departure, so we were one instructor short -- David, however, dragged a friend of his along named Peter Francis -- and with those two on stage, Marcus on the keyboard -- well, safe to say, we have a ton of laughs inbetween.
I've put one of the images I've taken up under the cut-tag -- it was hard trying to sneak a camera past David -- he'd start posing the moment he saw it LOL
So, any Danes interested, the concert is @ Risingskolen, Risingvej, 5000 Odense C -- the ticket price is DKK70 -- so please -- come along -- the choir is, btw, 280 people -- so I'm sure we'll be lifting the roof later today *g* (People from all over Denmark are taking part, as are a few from Germany and Sweden, I think)
