Xim's New Crack!

My GOD, I'm on an anime overload. Or maybe it's more of a 'let's taunt the viewers with the m/m subtext' overload...

I eh... kinda found an IRC server with X (the CLAMP tv series)... *coughs* Oooooooooh the prettyyyyyyyyy *laughs*
It's... surprisingly good. I mean, I don't get many other series where one guy licks blood off the other's neck... you know, just because he can, because he's tied the poor guy to a broken wall and run his hand though with a sword... *shakes head*


with such pretty art... I just couldn't say no (this is Subaru, who is destined to kill the one he loves the most... who just happens to be another guy...)



It's a very confusing show unless you pay attention, but I love how we're introduced to all the characters, little by little.

Long story short:

The end of the world is coming. Seven people on either side shall rise to fight. The dragons of Earth on one side (who want a revolution, destroying civilization and letting Earth rebuild itself) and the dragons of Heaven on the other side, who wish to preserve Earth the way it is, and leave it up to mankind whether or not to save the planet or destroy it. Kamui can choose either side, but what he doesn't know is that his twin-star will rise to take his place with whatever side he DOESN'T choose. Unfortunatly, this is his old childhood friend Fuma, and yes, there's a lot of UST between those two LOL - Fuma loses his own personality the moment that Kamui makes his choice... and he becomes a really nasty piece of work...


Before Kamui decides on what side he will fight, Fuma will fight to protect him, even the side of him that is 'the other Kamui' -- don't ask, it's very confusing, I get it, but it's kinda hard to explain it LOL


And once they're back in the real world, Fuma, still not 'himself' ... um... they tend to get REALLY close on this show...


I'd say Kamui is a liiiiittle bit spell-bound here LOL


And we get a situation where this IS Fuma -- before he's taken over by the persona of the 'other Kamui' (confused yet?)

Suggestive much? Both gripping the same phalic symbol... The moment that Kamui chooses which side he's fighting for, Fuma loses his own personality and you get a really nasty guy who kills his own sister and tries to off Kamui too.


Um... more suggestive than ever. Kamui's hand is speared by the sword and Fuma/other Kamui (it's a yin-yang thing, go with it) is standing a wee bit closer than could be called innocent...


*ngggggg*


*hyperventilates*


*THUD*
*flails and falls off chair*

This show runs high with so many references to m/m pairings and so much angst and carnage that I can only highly recommend it... I'm not even afraid to say I've been crying my eyes out over some of the episodes... *looks a little sheepish*

You definitely have good taste, woman!

I'm a big fan of CLAMP on principle but X is at the very top of the list of my favourite animes. And Subaru and Seishiro are some of my favourite characters ever!

I have to admit my first run-in with CLAMP was Card Captor Sakura (jap version of course), then the Touya/Yukito pairing brought me on to Tsubasa -- and then I ended up in love with Kurogane/Fay - a little curiosity because of the recent story arc in Tsubasa, featuring AU versions of Fuma (if I recall it right), Subaru, and Seishiro among others, as well as Kamui... I just had to see what the fuss was all about LOL

I think I'll settle for some non-CLAMP now -- with xxxholic/tsubasa/x/ccs etc, I need something different -- I found out the server I got X from has Samurai Deeper Kyo as well -- since I've read the manga, I think I'll give that one a go *g*

Ah, yes X ;) It was my first online fandom. I wonder if they ever finished the manga in Japan. If I recall correctly, the TV series had to come up with an ending, since the manga wasn't finished yet.

Nope, still no ending to the manga -- CLAMP refused to bow to corporate demands (seems the money people thought it was too violent and dark). I've just finished watching the anime and I have to admit this has to be some of the best stuff I've ever seen LOL

I'll have to check it out, I have it on vcd, but I never had time to watch, too busy reading manga and writing fanfic:)

BTW, I wrote some X fic, and I know some good X writers if you're interested. (If I can find my old stomping grounds;)
