Convergence recap
Recap and Character Intros: (AKA guide for those who either can't remember or are afraid of going through 100,000 words to get to the 3rd part)
I think there's one thing this story has taught me and that's the fact that I have a kink when it comes to tails and involving said tails in a sexual act *g*
And yay, I kept all the old notes from the first story LOL
World/Universe
Around the year 2000-2003 things begin to change in our world. Slowly the barriers to another world corode until there's nothing left to keep Earth and the other world, Ophion apart. Earth is a place of technology and Ophion of magic and old folk lore. What could have been complete and utter chaos is only so for some years, before a new world emerges, one that is a complete merge of the old worlds.
So what does that leave us? A place where gods walk among men, telepaths are not out of the ordinary and demons and magic are used as easily as techonology. And even though I mentioned that gods walked the world, one old Earth religion has struggled to survive, although not without paying a heavy price.
The catholic church, which brings us to the characters:
Character Bios:
Joshua Corwen
AGE: 35 (born in 2070)
EYES: blue
HAIR: black
BUILT: slender, 6'2
SKIN: pale
HISTORY:
Joshua and his sister Kristy lost their parents in a car accident when they were still kids. Kristy ended up with a fosterhome and Joshua was 'adopted' by the church. Unfortunately he had little knowledge of how they would use him.
He became a priest, but left after a few years -- he couldn't cope with it's less than lilly white ways of working. Is what is referred to as a renegade priest -- those who will work the words of the bible, but who have sworn off the commercialised ways of the church.
He mostly spends his time working with people in the area (lives in the old part of London), helps out, visits people who need it.
Nostradamus
AGE: A couple of thousand years, though no one knows
EYES: Fuchia/red -- depends entirely on the mood
HAIR: White
BUILT: Athletic, flexible, tail, pointed ears
SKIN: Bluish/purple
CLASS: Serving Fiend. They take on whatever appearance their new owner imagines they look like. They are considered one of the lowest classes of species.
HISTORY:
The former owner, Miss O'Donnell, received him as a servant, hence he was stuck with the image of a stiff, English butler for years. When miss O'Donnell dies of old age, he is returned to an amulet
Joshua is made the new owner of the amulet and the fiend by the old woman's will. With the amulet is a letter stating that he should touch the amulet and imagine his 'serving fiend'. Unfortunately Joshua is holding the amulet while he's reading the letter and without thinking about it, his mind comes up with an image born of religion, fairytales and old comic books. Presto! Nostradamus appears.
He normally takes on whatever personality the owner wishes, but since Josh didn't know that, there has been shaped no personality for the fiend. Hence Nostradamus is more or less the way his IS! Mischievous, playful and one hell of a prankster.
His attitude towards Josh is strange. He's known Joshua since the young priest began visiting Miss O'Donnell. He likes him, but really thinks that Josh needs to lighten up... a LOT. Does what he can to draw Joshua out, but is fighting both religious doctrine and Josh's doubt of his own faith.
First Story - Convergence - Alignment
So much for the quick introduction. Apart from those two, there's Kristy, Joshua's sister who is a tech-mage, there' s Jasarian who is a mysterius guy she works with and um... works with *g*
Then there are a few extras, among others some of the people the churck sends after Joshua when someone realizes that he's hiding something that the church can not condone (Fiends are not acceptable company for a priest, especially not in you bed XD)
Witout saying too much, at the end of the first story, Joshua has nearly lost his mind, has bonded with Nostradamus and is most definitely not celibate anymore *eg*
Second story - Convergence - re-alignment
At the end of the first story, Joshua moves from London to the Scottish Highlands with Nostradamus and what starts out as the perfect fairytale ending, becomes more trouble.
Joshua has doubts about his feelings for Nostradamus, mostly because of their bond. He is unsure how much of it is him and how much of it is Nostradamus. They end up going through a test that severs their bond for a moon cycle. Unfortunatly it's not the only trouble in paradise. A renegade Werewolf is on the lose and Joshua learns a lot more about his past and his parents as well.
So they come away from it all with a stronger bond, a lot of bruises and a few new friends.
Third story - Convergence - Merge
Why is it that trouble seems to always find these two? Heh, the curse of the muses! *coughs* sorry.
It's time for the final showdown.
Go read it, damn it, my neck's sore and I'm sleepy *g*
