A Memory

I seem to be a wee bit behind and so it seems I've only this morning read that thamiris passed away on April 4th. I can't say I knew her, but I loved her stories back when I was part of the Smallville fandom. I mean, that fandom was one of the three fandoms I got into at the same time when I started out, so there's a handful of writers I will always remember.

Thamiris being one of them. Yeah, I'll definitely remember her. She wrote porn like no one else *g* *reminds self to re-read, because it's just been too damned long*

So, in her memory, I'll sit down, open up Word and write some porn. It's one way for me to light a virtual candle in her memory. May her soul go on forever and perhaps become a muse for others.

:) Thamiris and a couple of others from the Smallville fandom were the writers I used as template teachers when it came to writing--and writing sex scenes specifically. Because of her, I *think* I write a bit better than I used to. Or at least, I hope so. :) She broadened my mind and taught me quite a bit, and for that, I will always be grateful. :)

I learned a lot from that crowd as well. I'm saddened to hear what happened, and I know how hard it is to handle cancer as family as well, so I think reading the note on Destina's LJ, I felt a little down for the rest of the day. The only thing I can do now is keep her in mind and keep writing.
