miriam_heddy -- I was TRYING to read my f-list -- though after about 50 entries, I tend to get sidetracked...
1. My username is _____ because ____.

What feels like a lifetime ago (late 90s), I started writing a fantasy story with *gasps* a het pairing! Heh. One of the minor characters was a dragon (very minor character, but I liked the name LOL). Eversince I've used it as my name for anything online. These days some of my real life friends refer to me as simply 'Xim'. I even respond to it as well as I do to Tina *g* Odd tidbit here. I ended up writing that story again for the first nanowrimo I took part in, in 2003. It ended up with more sex, interracial (elf/human-dragon hybrid) which yes, was het. Get over it LOL. And somehow two of the minor characters, both guys, ended up together as well. Heh. Just on a sidenote *smiles fondly* Hey, I ended up loving these versions of them more than the original and I thought they deserved a semi-happy end.
2. My journal is titled ____ because ____.
Ximeria's Livejournal.
Because that's what it is, you know. I used to call both my site and LJ Ximeria's Lair -- I was a bit obsessed with dragons, so what?! Heh. These days I just call it was it is. It's my LJ dammit.
3. My subtitle is ____ because ____.
At the moment, it's Sometimes we take Chances, Sometimes we take Pills. It's a quote from Fall Out Boy's Hum Hallelujah, and it just struck me as so very true.
4. My friends page is called ____ because ____.
Familiar Strangers.
That's how most of you are. We're all strangers, but some of us cross paths more often. Sometimes I forget I don't really know everyone that well. I'd normally not be all that fond of being in the company of so many strangers, but LJ makes it possible for me to do so, makes it possible for me to read tidbits of everyone's lives.

I figured the default image should be something non-specific that relates to me. Which is why I fooled around in photoshop with filters and who knows what. The outcome I've liked well enough to keep for a very long time.

What can I say? The man makes me laugh my ass off most days and he can walk in high heeled boots like very few other people I've ever seen. A lot of women included *g* - I have boot-envy, so sue me LOL
