Day 0 - Odense - Copenhagen - London Heathrow - Edinburgh Airport - Edinburgh - Dunfermline
I get tired just looking at that subjectline XD
I got up at 4 to check the luggage for the upteenth time. Of course nothing was missing, but yeah *laughs*
Had a bit to eat before setting out, walking to the train station at around 5.10, to catch the train at 5.55. Good walk, nice, cool, fresh morning air with no traffic around. The train ride was fairly quiet, was listening to the podfic version of
astolat's Crown of Summer's Court (because it was appx long enough to keep me going for the trip *laughs*
Airport was nice enough - since I'd booked in the previous day online, I could go directly to the fast drop and dump the luggage and just have a look around. Flight... well, was as okay as it gets, because I'm just not fond of flying. Heathrow was easier to navigate than the last time because of the new Terminal 5. Instead of coming into one and leaving from the other, I could just sit down and have something to eat while waiting for my connecting flight as it was from the same terminal. Had too much coffee too. I should know better, my bladder was killing me by the time we set down at Edinburgh Airport.
Then came the ride through hell (AKA Edinburgh is one big hole in the ground, seriously - everything's being digged up at the moment). I did manage a train to Dunfermline and knocked on the door of the Clan's house at around 7, feeling utterly knackered. I sat around with N and Bex just relaxing and later Nicci came back from the schindig she had been at, looking about ready to drop.
So, we got ourselves off to bed after repacking the luggage.
