All over? A good episode with a plothole or two
You know, I enjoyed the story I really did. I did, however, get completely derailed by the scene where Gwen tries to confront Jack in his office. Only to walk in on him and Ianto... um... shirtless and trying to devour each other XD -- and Ianto's admission when Jack tells Gwen they could've used her for naked hide and seek an hour earlier, that Jack cheats, he always does XD -- I love the smirk on his face.
Oh, and in the beginning of the ep? Gwen is trying to figure out if Jack has anything to do with it all? He eventually just shrugs, and says: "Gonna go weevil hunting with Ianto." and I have yet to see a more lewd look on a man's face. That grin. I swear, between Jack's smile in that scene and Jayne's horny look on FF in the famous 'I'll be in my bunk' I won't have to look far for horny looks on guys where it actually WORKS for me XD
So, I liked the story. And I get the feeling something's going to happen and that Jack has his reasons for keeping this island a secret. All those people the Rift took, chewed up and spat back out. He seems so very worried and it can't be that alone. And as he says, it's been happening a lot more lately, as if the Rift is trying to right something it's done wrong.
I liked seeing the tenacious side of Gwen again and I loved how she realized that Jonah's mother would've been better off not knowing. And I think, Jonah perhaps as well. It might've been better if he'd not seen his mother's reaction to him, when he started his downslide.
I'll be off imagining just how horny weevil hunting with Ianto seems to get Jack. And Ianto for that matter, because he's definitely the one driving their little... eh. One-on-one in the office *eg* -- and Jack knows that Ianto is the one leading Gwen in the right direction, which means Jack shares a lot with Ianto and Ianto's going to get punished for telling Gwen. I'm sure it'll be... innovative *smirks*
And yes, I'm currently downloading the episode, but I managed to get into the BBC website, so I watched it about twenty minutes after the episode had finished on TV *eg*

First, though:
shirtless and trying to devour each other XD
Not to mention that Ianto's hand was down Jack's pants ;) Yeah, I kind of lost the plot there, too...so did Gwen. :)
Some of my favorite parts of this episode were Ianto and Gwen's interactions. Ianto and Gwen are a lot closer than I think people give them credit for.
I agree that the talk of the Rift getting more active seems to be some kind of foreshadowing. At least I hope so.
