Hot and sticky...

Yeah, that's how I'm feeling right now. It's extremely hot and it's like breathing through water. But otherwise - it's great (though in 10 secs I'm gonna freakin' *kill* this keyboard - the position of some of the key's are different from Danish keyboards...)

We have ([livejournal.com profile] nora_charles and I)

  • been settling the trouble with her credit card (some mix-up with data transfer or something)

  • went sight seeing on Leicester sq., Picadilly Circus, Gower st., Shaftesbury Ave. (Imagine our feet right now...), went from Lancaster Gate to Hyde Park Corner, along the Serpentine, down Rotten Row.

  • went to Boots, looking for sun lotion and soap without perfume (what is it with you people! What do you need all this perfume for anyway? - don't for one second think the smell gets better using it - we've been close to fainting a few times, just from people passing us.)

  • "Your ice cream's melting..." was the *extremely* intelligent comment from the guy at "Rendezvous". Now, had this been in Denmark, he'd immediately have served another one - see, that's called customer service. He was slow... made the ice before serving the coffee... He did it for Nora Charles first, then me (imagine what the ice was like after that...). It's not like it's hard to see that we were there *together*- he even *asked*. (Tomorrow's gonna be Ben & Jerry's instead). Nora Charles said hers was liquid by the time we actually got to sit down and eat it.

  • We then went to British Museum, for a guided tour - this time one of the paid tours. Oh, and it was good, really, really good. We'll be going back there for the free tours as well.

  • And now we're here - at the internet cafe - and why are some people more rude than others? We sit down and there are plenty of available pc's. Then some (smelly) guy sits down next to us, well, practically in Nora Charles' lap (he even grabbed a chair from one of the other computers, and moved it there). *Rude*, I tell you. I mean, I love the Brits, very much, but when you're in London, you get to see some people who simply shouldn't be allowed anywhere *near* civilization. (Crack his skull, that's what I should have done - though I think he got the hint - new record - he left after approx. 3 minutes of very *heavy* commenting from Nora Charles', mostly in Danish...).

  • So, tonight it's relaxation, why? Because we freakin' need it. Maybe a stroll through Hyde Park and Rotten Row when they turn on the lights (it was the first illuminated street in the UK).

Well, that's all the ranting and raving I have at the moment. Until next time.
