Danish Invasion of Scotland, day 7

Today was an excursion to the Deep Sea World -- full of water and bright colours ^_^

Today's photo count: 26 pcs

I stayed in this day to get caught up on some of the photos I'd taken the previous days. Especially Monday's escapades in Dunfermline had left me with a tone of photos that needed sorting and compressing for LJ.

When Nicci came home we went off to Deep Sea World. We had an all girls day out, since we took Becca and Kailyn along as well. No, Nicci, I'm still saying when they offered us a 2 adults + 2 kids ticket, it wasn't me they were referring to as the 2nd kid, okay? *glares*

So, yeah, we got into Deep Sea World, paying in full because Nicci is too honest and said 'no, three adults and one kid'. *sniggers*

We found a Rayfish... Becca went off searching for a Fraserfish...

Becca, being her mother's daughter, came running by, hollaring something about finding a Fraserfish. We all looked at each other wondering what that was all about, until she returned and pointed out the Rayfish... No, it's not our fault, really!

Right where we came in there were open aquariums where you could look down into. There were other bigger ones along the walls and some of the fish were easier to take photos of than others...

Pretty little yellow fish.

There was also a long tube where you walked under the water, and the fish swam over you. It went on for quite a while and there were two sharks in there. Gave me the heebeejeebees the first time it came swimming toward us. And yes, I was humming the Jaws theme under my breath XD

Shark Alert!

We circled some of the front room tanks again and some of the brightly coloured fish were easy to take photos of.

Finding Nemo, anyone?

We found the reptiles and frogs later on and some of the colours of those things... whoa. Brightly coloured ones and they were fairly still most of the time, so it was easy getting some good shots of them.

This iguana looked a little miffed, didn't it?

It was so much fun when we found the frogs. Some of them looked like they were made of plastic because of the bright colours and the shiny skin. Right until they moved *g*

Now that's what I call a green frog O_o

One of the tanks with a frog didn't so much offer a good shot as it offered a funny one. The other frogs tended to sit still, but there was this one that kept leaping up when you put the lense up against the glass. The glass was a bit dirty from the bouncing, so the photo isn't all that good, but the frog was so funny. It did the same thing when Nicci tried to take a picture of it *g* If you moved the lense the frog would just follow along.

take my picture, dammit!

We went on to find more frogs, more vibrantly coloured ones too.

This is WHOA blue... Think it's poisonous?

And to end the theme of brightly coloured frogs, we found another tank with a yellow frog in it. It had the most incredible sharply contrasted colours.

The yellow frog

We had to leave after seeing the seals as we were going home for dinner and a couple of the Clan's friends were coming over in the evening. Yes, I behaved myself. I'm capable of doing so in company, thank you kindly. I'm not completely uncivilized, you know *g*
