One of the streets leading up toward where I live -- It's got a lot of traffic, and I only go home via this street when I have to stop at the supermarket -- of which there are 4 on this street -- very close to each other.

If you follow the smaller streets you sometimes find pretty buildings -- a lot of these have been converted into apartments.

Heh, yeah - I'm not sure I could get used to the wide open stuff -- not for living at least. I've grown quite fond of living in Odense.

Thank you. I realized when I was in Scotland that the building style is always a bit different from country to country and decided to give you all a little view of Odense.

Industrial building conversions can be really good when it's done with a bit of imagination and good finishing inside. My brother bought a flat in an old sewing machine factory. Lovely use of the high ceilings.

One of my earliest memories is of a school history programme called the Raven and the Cross about the conflict in Britain between the Saxons and the Vikings. I used to put a blanket around my shoulders, pretend that one of the small tables was a horse (using string for reins and stirrups) and wear my Grandpa's motorbike helmet. I was a Viking, natch *g*
