Aka the evening where I spent way too much money XD -- I bought a new rain-suit - so now I've got trousers as well and I might make it to work without being completely drenched *g*. I also bought new shoes. They're nearly the same model as my old pumas I tend to use for work. And while the old ones were quite comfy, they looked horrible and not what I'd feel good about wearing to work. Hence a new pair.

If you were wondering why I tend to crash lately? These are part of the solution, but also, a bit of the problem. My allergy meds. I've been taking them for a week here and I hate the fact that it's been so early. I'm allergic to Elm and Birch pollen, so yay, I can look forward to a hellish spring. And others go: "Oh, lovely, it's springtime." To which, on a bad day, my answer generally is: "Oh go screw yourselves."

Figured it could be fun for you guys to see how I get to work. Yup, love this bike. It hardly weighs anything and IF we had snow *laughs* I could actually get through without any problems.

Friday February 22nd, 2008

Friday means I get off work at around 3PM which is fab. The rest of the week it's until half past six or so, so Fridays are treasured. This is taken along the side of the University, where our exit is. It's a big block of concrete, not necessarily pretty, but I've grown to like the place a lot.

Had two hours of work today, but I had to get up earlier than that even. I had an appointment at the hairdresser's at 9AM so I figured a 'before' image would do well here. Yes, my hair's floppy this day. I had grown so bloody tired of it XD

I was trying to figure out what type of shoes those were, lol the puma was upsidedown!
I feel your pain with the allergies. : ( I've been taking a natural over the conter med and zyrtec sp? just became available over the counter this season, but that one is expensive. And yes I've been taking them for the last month.
Freakishly huge bird! LOL He doesn't have as much white as most seagulls in our area do. Do you see it all the time or just this once?
Your streets are really clean. ::pouts:: Ours are gastly trashy at times. You've got to take a few pictures of this as the trees begin to bloom. I bet it's really pretty.

Mine has grown so much I haven't cut it since Nov. 07.
It's still short but I can curl it and the cut still looks good. In fact my stylist was asking who did it because it looked nice. I was like I curled it, but this is your cut from last time! LOL
I'll make sure and take a pic this week. ; )

Oh, our streets aren't always clean. And mind you, this is the one that runs to the university -- it ends at the end of the road so it doesn't see any traffic that doesn't belong there.

Heh, nope, haven't noticed that bird before, but it was walking along the path I go by bike when I go back and forth to work, so I figured I'd take a shot at it. Metaphorically XD

Nice shoes. They look comfy.

The bird looks like a baby great gull. They have a lot of brown flecks on them until they become adults, but Im not sure its the right time of year for baby gulls that size. ETA:

I like both styles of hair. The floppy one looks more girly and the spiky one looks more tomboy.

Heh, thanks for the image, hon. That DOES look a lot like it. Shall we put it down to global warming again, that we're seeing animals we shouldn't be?

Ugh! on allergies. Spring and Summer and Fall = Near!death! as I'm like allergic to damn near everything *headdesk*

I like the hair. I agree short and spikey, or scary curly in my case, way easier to manage :)

btw, I'd be more than willing to send you some snow. I'm very tired of dealing with it this season!

Hej, hvor er det dejligt at hoere fra dig! Det gaar meget bedre hernede. Jeg er nu blevet saa vandt til at snakke spansk at jeg ikke laengere er saa doedtraet at jeg ikke kan taenke to sammenhaengende tanker om aftenen ;-)

Jeg er blevet vandt til at koere med metro og s-tog, og er endnu ikke faret vild, og er saa smaat ved at vende mig til at tage bybussen en gang imellem - og du ved hvordan jeg har det med busser! De er saa indviklede, og der er saa mange stoppesteder...

Igaar fik jeg endelig min fars baerbare til at forbinde sig til universitetets server - det viser sig at jeg manglede noget software, for det jeg brugte til at logge paa havde den forkerte type authentication protocol, eller saadan noget. Det nye program popper selv op saa snart det finder en server, saa jeg tror faktisk ogsaa det er det SDU bruger.

Jeg loeb desvaerre toer for stroem igaar, og det stik min far havde sat paa stroemforsyningen virker ikke i nye EU stikkontakter, viser det sig, for det er simpelthen for bredt. Saa jeg maatte i et stort supermarked igaar og koebe et nyt. Lige nu sidder jeg paa gulvet i hjoernet af en gang uden for it lokalerne, hvor der er stikkontakter, og lader computeren op igen.

Jeg snakkede med mine foraeldre idag paa skype, det var dejligt, selvom forbindelsen ikke var saa god. Foerst proevede jeg at sidde udenfor, men der var wifien simpelthen for svag.

Jeg kiggede lidt paa din lj igaar, for at se hvordan du har det. Jeg savner dig! Det var alletiders at se billederne, det er en god ide du har med at tage billeder af dine omgivelser til 365 memen. Jeg fik meget hjemve af at se de smukke billeder af vintergaekker og erantis!

Her er foraaret ogsaa dejligt, og de blomstrende frugttraeer er meget smukke. Jeg ved ikke hvad slags traeer det er, men de har lyseroede blomster, der er mange af dem, og jeg er allergisk over for dem ;-)

Det foeles meget underligt at temperaturen er 17-20 grader hver dag, som om det var sommer. Men det er nu rart nok, selvom jeg gruer for naar det bliver varmere.

Nu hvor min computer virker herude kan jeg endelig holde kontakten lidt bedre med jer derhjemme og med Nicci. Det var ret traels at sidde i it lokalerne paa de daarlige langsomme computere, mens folk stod i koe for at komme til, og jeg skulle huske at gemme alting paa usb, saa det bliver dejligt fremover at slippe for det! Jeg ved nu ikke om jeg vil tage computeren med hver dag, for det er lidt tungt med boeger og det hele.
