What is it with these people?!
Public announcement: The below view is mine, all mine, and no one else's -- feel free to disagree.
How does anyone decide to write a scene where Ianto is hurt and Jack breaks down crying?
*bangs head on table*
I don't just mean a tear or worry or such - nooooooeeeee. See, I could have lived with the occasional tear or worry, even if I don't think it's entirely in character for Jack -- at least not openly -- on his own? Yeah, but he's very carefully guarded most of the time -- as is Ianto. In this story however, it was falling apart, falling into each other's arms, overly emotional dialogue and although the writer had a warning up about 'fluff' -- I'm sorry, that's not fluff -- that's vomit inducing.
On a personal note -- I hate my shoulder -- seriously -- good thing I managed to get an appointment with a physiotherapist tomorrow morning -- I've got tension headache once or twice a day at the moment -- gotta get rid of that.
News: We're getting closer to vacation time now -- which rocks *g*
Flat news: God, I'm too knackered most days to get anything done -- I figure I will eventually, if no later than after my shoulder's back in the game *g*

Oh my. How the fanfic stereotypes rear their ugly heads :o(
Be well, mate.

See you down here while you're in the UK?

And yeah, fandom stereotypes? If you think we had them in SG1? It's nothing compared to Torchwood XD

Heh. I was discussing the same thing with webbgirl just yesterday. WoobieIanto. Peh.
If you and niccimac are going to be in Stratford for a day or so, I could certainly try to come up and meet you there for lunch or whatever. A couple of hours drive wouldn't be a prob, especially when you're usually a good deal further away than that!

I can't for the world remember where we're staying for hotel, but I can check - even if I'm there with Nicci, Berty and Pepe, I'd love to take some time out. We're coming in on Friday, seeing Hamlet on Friday night (september 26th) and home again on Sunday afternoon. Both Nicci and I are flying in, meeting with Berty in Gatwick, then driving up to whereever our hotel is. I seem to remember Stratford being impossible to find accomodations in, so it might be a bit of way from it. I shall check when I get home.
Hope you and webbgirl are having a ton of fun *is envious* and that you do your share of fandom wank XD

So, Saturday sounds like a good bet if you guys are free? I may have the bairns in tow, but it would actually be cool to get up to Stratford again. We haven't been in ages. I haven't seen nicci for a couple of years I think. We met in Manchester at Collectormania but it was a really brief meeting and I don't think we've seen each other since. It would be cool to catch up with her too :o)
I wonder actually if there are any tickets left for any other performances. I don't suppose there are, but Rivvi's birthday is the following week and she loves Shakespeare (as do I *g*) so if we could go to a performance of the RSC in Stratford - in the absence of being able to go to Bard on the Beach in Vancouver - that would probably go down v well as a birthday pressie!
I'll have a look. Hopefully we can jack (there he is again, darn him!) something up.
