3rd post - from Lunga
May. 23rd, 2011 12:02 amAaaand the big post LOL (at least picture wise)
The sea was a bit roughish when we set out, and I have to admit I was getting to the point where sea sickness was looming quite largely *swallows hard* - I hate that feeling - Nicci wasn't doing much better, but at least none of us ended up actually sick.
So the four of us made it over the bloody rocks to the land of the Puffins!
Lunga aka an abundance of puffins
( Puffins, puffins and... more puffins )
full set from Lunga
We came back to the cabin, Gary and Saz had pizzas for us - and if I didn't love and adore them before, I did now *g* - That evening we sat around, just enjoying ourselves and it was damned brilliant.
Monday we did much of the same, this time Cats provided sustenance in the form of Risotto. And the day was fab - sure, it was piss pouring down outside, but we still had a fab time together.
On the Tuesday we pakced up, and of course, by the time we left, the sun came out XD
We all drove over to Callender, though we had a quick stop a Kilmahog - to finish shaking - a stupid van decided to overtake right around a sharp turn in the road, putting him in out lane just as he came around. It could have ended so badly, us with Saz in the car behind and great big Argos lorry behind her *whipes brow* - it still gives me the jitters.
After that little stop, we carried on into Callender to get a pub lunch, get Cats some potted meat from the butcher's and to take a picture of a hairdresser's by the name of 'scissor sister' which amused us to no end.
Stopping in Edinburgh, we had a bit of tea and coffee before all heading out - Saz and Gary southward, Nicci and I northbound. Yes, the evening's meal WAS takeaway - we were dead on our feet when we got to Dunfermline.
To Gary, Saz, Jen, Cats and Nicci... thank you so much for a fantastic weekend. With geekyness, adult nappies, food aplenty and so very good.
*raises glass*
