Airport Travel log

'ello everyone.

This is me checked in and waiting to board the plane.

It's been some mad days on the car trip, but it's been FUN. I'm missing the family already but alas, it's homeward and back to work on Monday.

catspaw_sgjd, I'm sorry we couldn't meet up once more before I went back, but maybe I'll drop by Edinburgh in November/December when I come back again. It's going to be madness there as well LOL -- but I take it Nicci will be off for about half the number of days I am, so I'm thinking of scheduling a trip into Edinburgh one of the days before I go home again - although, it's far into the future at the moment XD

I'm going to try to put together a full entry on the way home. Lord knows I've only got broken bits and pieces in the LJ, depending on how worn out I've been on the car trip. Driving wasn't all that bad, really, if you ignore nearly being flattened by a big fuck-off lorry who thought it'd be a good idea to overtake us while we were overtaking another car. *rolls eyes*

But all over, it's been a fantastic vacation. Things I've learned:

* I wanna go back and spend time in Cardiff, because wow, I did NOT get to see enough of that city ^_^ (to any Welsh on my flist - your city rocks! XD

* Roundabouts are ebil

* Even if you're not in Denmark, you still have to watch out for taxis, white vans, lorries and busses. It's not a national thing -- no matter where you go, they tend to drive like shite *grins*

* I have trouble settling back into Danish - I almost didn't answer when a Danish tourist asked me about something in the check-in line at Edinburgh Airport XD - it sounded like gibberish to me.

To all of you who've been following my posts on LJ/Flickr/DW/IJ - thank you to those who've commented and to all of you, I hope I haven't been boring you with too many insane posts full of photos and or TW related stuff XD

Nicci? Thank you for being a love and letting me bribe you with hot chocolate and the parking fee to have you stay with me for a wee while in the check-in area ^_^ -- I'll be 'seeing' you tonight, unless either/both of us crash when we get home XD

Airport entry numero dos

Hello one and all.

I am now in Copenhagen airport and have some time to kill before my train leaves. It took a while for me to get my luggage, but now I'm sitting at a net terminal in 7/11, enjoying a sandwich.

I spent the flight trying to write down what actually HAPPENED during the driving holiday LOL -- then I started having trouble remember when we were WHERE XD

*grins widely*

Nearly home now, so we'll see if I'm still alive enough to come online when I come home. 1st thing to do when I get home, though, will be to do a wee bit of speed shopping. There's nothing but a few cans of cider in the house LOL

Nicci, if you're not completely dead tonight, I'll catch you online.
