It's been a hellishly hot day today, but I managed to get the last of the major cleaning done on the old flat -- so tomorrow I can start painting -- I'm hoping to be done tomorrow as well, but we'll see.

I'll have to start early, because once the afternoon hits, it gets hellishly hot in the flat -- and the sun's been beating down relentlessly for the past week plus some.

I was good to myself tonight -- after having [livejournal.com profile] goddessindia over this afternoon, I went with her home -- just to get out and although it was a lovely trip, there's about a gazillion bugs in the air and when you're on a bike... *yuck*

Right, so tonight, I came home, went in search of my old cappuchino machine and made myself a big one. Tripple espresso and a huge layer of milk froth ^____^

*enjoys caffeine induced coma*

I no longer have to sneak like sneaking thing and leech off people's wireless networks! (their own fault for not securing them)

My own's back up and running!!! This means I've truly moved into the new flat, nevermind the gazillion boxes still to unpack XD

Right...

This is me logging off for today and then I won't be on until Tuesday the 6th *weeps*

This sucks, I know, because it also means I won't be able to dl DW until then *cries*

The reason? I'm moving this weekend and the old connection is disconnected tomorrow with the new connection not up till Tuesday -- so if I don't answer, you'll know why.

So, I'll be seeing you guys around. IF I do manage to get online before that, it'll be because someone isn't protecting their wireless network *eg* but we'll have to see about that.

Cheers you all -- I'll be seeing you guys back online soon ^_^

*hugs you lot hard*

Oh man. I wanted to do the following comment to this article but the site won't let me *pouts*

I'm still slightly amused to see how this was received on the American side of the pond. Seriously, it's a spin-off of Doctor Who, which has always been heavy on the humour and self-irony -- Torchwood might not be as well written, but its force is the crack-humour and the 'no, we're not taking outselves terribly serious' -- it's all good fun, it's not stereotypical sci-fi and I have to disagree with Mr. Perigard, John Barrowman is possibly one of the few who CAN pull off this part. Capt. Jack has to be played completely over the top or the character won't work and will become 'flat'. It was one of the first things I noticed when watching him in Doctor Who series 1. Then again, we all see different things in the show. I for one don't buy into Jack's twu wuve for Gwen. Jack'd shag and probably has shagged the whole team -- can't say I blame him. And the fans prefer to see him as omnisexual -- he's not limited to humans afterall. Really, get the qaint little labels right.

*slinks off with tail between the legs*

On another note, I'll be on the road most of the day today, so I might not get around to answering any of the conversation requests today -- hopefully this coming week will slow down a litte *whimpers* so that I can get around to it. So far I've only managed to do the Daniel Jackson w. Tenth Doctor request from [livejournal.com profile] jades_shadow

September 26th, four ladies will be going to Stratfort-upon-Avon. They shall delight themselves by viewing a true Shakespearian play. Much to this Danish lady's amusement, it shall be Hamlet, yes indeed.

That alone is worth the trip -- along with of course, dwelling upon homoerotic conversations with her fellow ladies.

What has this lady's panties in a twist though, is a combination of two verile men on the stage. According to this lovely article, we are in for a treat.

This we shall be feasting out eyes upon as Hamlet walks upon stage:

And we shall joyfully enjoy it when Claudius sets foot on the stage as well:

Nah, smells like it always does XD

Right, so I'm off at the end of November with three crazy sophisticated ladies, [livejournal.com profile] nicci_mac, [livejournal.com profile] bertybertle and Pepe. We're heading to Stratford-upon-Avon...

*tries to contain squee*

To see David Tennant in Hamlet!!!

Directed by Gregory Doran
(The Royal Shakespeare Company)

Is it September yet? I mean, we get to see the Tennant and I get to meet two more fangirls XD

*iz ded*

Am I right in assuming that Claudius will be played by... Patrick Stewart? I'll need an XXL droolbucket XD
