All over? A good episode with a plothole or two

Holy *hit that's hot... )

Just a quick little one before I head off to work.

Remember that slightly garbled (just my point of view) entry I did the other day, trying to put into words how I saw the Jack/Ianto relationship? Well, I came across an entry that was far more structured than what my scattered brain could come up with. Which is why I'm linking to it XD

I could make an entry on this or that, or try to do my 365, but I'm utterly knackered after this weekend's Gospel Festival. I'll try to do an entry on that tomorrow when my brain will, hopefully, be back online XD

Once again, I should be getting ready for work, but we'll just put a few minutes in here before I go hunt down my jeans.

initial impression )

This started as a comment to [livejournal.com profile] pattrose question as to why we watch Torchwood. I realized that I ranted a lot and decided to do it in my own LJ instead of hers XD

Why watch TW -- I don't know about you, but... )
ximeria: (Default)
Right, I've got a bit more time this time around -- since I'm only supposed to be in bed, not on the way to work XD

Cut for spoilers and a bloody heavy image of THAT kiss )
ximeria: (Default)
Right, haven't got too much time to do this, but I figured I'd put it down while the first viewing was still fresh in my mind.

Oh man. I wanted to do the following comment to this article but the site won't let me *pouts*

I'm still slightly amused to see how this was received on the American side of the pond. Seriously, it's a spin-off of Doctor Who, which has always been heavy on the humour and self-irony -- Torchwood might not be as well written, but its force is the crack-humour and the 'no, we're not taking outselves terribly serious' -- it's all good fun, it's not stereotypical sci-fi and I have to disagree with Mr. Perigard, John Barrowman is possibly one of the few who CAN pull off this part. Capt. Jack has to be played completely over the top or the character won't work and will become 'flat'. It was one of the first things I noticed when watching him in Doctor Who series 1. Then again, we all see different things in the show. I for one don't buy into Jack's twu wuve for Gwen. Jack'd shag and probably has shagged the whole team -- can't say I blame him. And the fans prefer to see him as omnisexual -- he's not limited to humans afterall. Really, get the qaint little labels right.

*slinks off with tail between the legs*

On another note, I'll be on the road most of the day today, so I might not get around to answering any of the conversation requests today -- hopefully this coming week will slow down a litte *whimpers* so that I can get around to it. So far I've only managed to do the Daniel Jackson w. Tenth Doctor request from [livejournal.com profile] jades_shadow

Right, so the dl had finished this morning and this is my initial impression

TW S02E02 )
ximeria: (Default)
Oh yes.... yes, yes, yes!!!

So, my internet connection decided to croak when I'd dl'ed 6% of TW... *cries*

Went to bed, left the lappie on (which is now called Ianto, because of it being so darned efficient) - woke up and saw -- YES! Back online and the dl had finished !!

So this morning, just a moment ago -- I watched it -- it's bound to give me the buzz of a lifetime for going to work. *tries to wipe smile off face*

cut for spoilers if there are any left XD )

Barrowman

Right, I'd sort of forgotten about this. When I went home from Scotland on Sunday the 6th, Nicci and I sat at the Costa's in Princes Street Mall in Edinburgh before I had to go catch my bus. I found a newspaper, The Scotsman on Sunday -- it had a special called 'Spectrum'. There was several pages on John Barrowman -- I thought about scanning it, but of course it's up at the official newspaper's website. So here ya go, though I figure most of you might've seen it already.

"Captain Fantastic - John Barroman's plans to take over the universe"

And of course you've all seen the new TW trailer -- can I say that I love Ianto especially when he's gleefully using the stopwatch XD

Woweeeeeeee

You've probably all seen this trailer by now, but what can I say? I loved Ianto before, but I think after this one? He bloody rocks!

Oh, and if I miss a birthday wish from someone when I go through the flist, please know I'm not ignoring you, I'm simply knackered still from the travel from Scotland back to Denmark.

*hugs f-list*
